New Year’s Resolutions/Dreams

So it’s the start of a new year. Is it just me or do you find that the older you get, the faster the years seem to go by. I can’t believe it’s January yet again and time to make plans for the coming year. I’ve never been one to make resolutions as such. They are so easy not to follow and you end up disappointing yourself. I think it’s because a lot of us make these
unreasonable resolutions that even the most ardent of us would find hard to stick to.

So for 2012 my aim is to:

Have less drama and stress in my life

Travel more (the plan is to head to the UK via somewhere)

Work on losing weight – especially for my cousins wedding in May (I started Jenny Craig today so hopefully that’s a step towards that)

Laugh more and take life less seriously

Write a blog post at least twice a month and work on making my blog kick arse

Pay off my debts from the last few years

Learn everything I can about being a travel writer/blogger so I can eventually head off and travel the world (first thing is to do the MatadorU Travel Writing Course)

Become a sewing goddess (My dressmaking course starts in February and am really looking forward to it)

Some of the above are achieveable this year – others will be a work in progress but it’s a step in the right direction and a plan of where I would liek my life to head towards.
