Firstly Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I won!! I am one of the 16 bloggers chosen to take part in the Big Blog Exchange. In June, I’ll be swapping countries and blogs with Rosario who lives in Buenos Aires in Argentina, and runs the blog ‘At Blue Heaven’ (www.atblueheaven.com). Rosario will be heading off to New Zealand to discover all that my home country has to offer.
Your votes got me into the Top 100 and then it was down to the judges to decide who the final 16 would be. Check out the judges remarks of what they thought of Rosario and I………
Secondly, thanks so much to each and every one of you who voted for me, got friends and family to vote for me, and generally became the world’s best cheering squad. Without you I would not be about to embark on this amazing experience. I appreciate the offers to carry my bags or hide in them, and I wish I could take you all with me. However, you’ll just have to keep an eye on here, and on At Blue Heaven, and my social networking sites: Instagram (http://instagram.com/kapcha), Facebook (www.facebook.com/kapchatheworld) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/kapcha).
And I still need your votes!!
An overall winner will be chosen from the final 16 so get those mouse fingers ready to click and vote. I’ll post the links once I get them through.
In the meantime, I now have every book from the library on Argentina, am also learning Latin American Spanish too, and am generally to be found day dreaming about all the wonderful things I am going to see and do on my trip.
On my bucket list at the moment is:
Buenos Aires, Iguazu Waterfalls, Cordoba, Colonia del Sacremento and the gaucho town of San Antonio de Areco. Other than experiencing Argentinian life, and learning to tango, I think the thing I am most looking forward to is sampling the beef – apparently it’s the best in the world, and then following it with some amazing local red wine. Heaven!
So for now check out this cute little video that Rosario my exchange blogger who lives in Buenos Aires made for the person going to swapping with her. I can’t wait to walk in her footsteps
