PHILIPPINES TRAVEL

Scuba diving in Boracay, Philippines

I discovered scuba diving late. God knows why as I am a complete water baby and love swimming. The first time I dived was in Turkey with a friend on holiday. I ran through my air in record time as was so engrossed by feeding the hundreds of fish that I wasn’t concentrating on my breathing and thus ran through my tank pretty quickly.

I had heard good things about diving in the Philippines though and decided that whilst on holiday there, I would do my PADI open water course. From that point on I was hooked. I even planned the next holiday specifically to head back to Boracay to do my Advanced Open Water! Diving in Boracay is spectacular. The water is warm – so much so that you don’t really need a wet suit – and the different types of fish found there are really beautiful. It’s not hard or complicated diving though – so for those that like the challenge then other parts of the Philippines may be better suited. I am looking forward to returning to the Philippines one day and discovering more of the dive spots around the various islands.

Scuba diving is definitely a major passion of mine, and although I don’t get to do it quite as much as I would like to at the moment, I do so whenever I can. I was having one of those days this morning, and so I was browsing through my photos online and came across my scuba diving ones from Boracay and decided to share them with you.

Below are a few from my two trips to Boracay – to see more check out my photo gallery.
